Proven Grounds of Choice

So here is the day to prove yourself. You are about to take on a gang of vicious criminals that is standing between you and the main bad guy. You have only enough ammo in your M-16 to make it through the first wave of guys. So, what is the plan? Well ... for this young boy, knowing he is intuitive, has straight A's and does well in figuring out situations, he decides he will kill the first few guys, grab some ammo off the dead bodies and move on. So ...

The young boy picks up the controller, hits a few buttons and makes his way to the boss, to get the the prize reward. He has achieved his goal, all the while his mother is watching him play. "Time for homework," says his mother. He looks back and says "OK," saves the Grand Theft Auto game and goes to do his homework. In this proven ground, the mother and child is victorious.

So this is a scene you would see in a more mature setting of the proven ground between a parent and child. A child, no greater then 12/13 years old able to play a blood-lust filled shooting game, and at the same time, listen and understand that there is a time to play games and do work. He also knows the difference between fantasy and reality, and what a he plays or sees on TV doesn't translate well in his life. Not all kids around his age understands these differences between reality and fantasy. But, its a choice of the parents, the proven ground of parenting. Do you know when, what and where to take these challenges and know the how to win? Well its up to you.

I bring up this situation because of one the latest Supreme Court Cases to come up in the past week. A challenge of a Law in California that bans the sell of mature video games to minors has been brought to the court saying it goes against the first amendment of the constitution.

So when you read, and you think about it, how is it can a law like this be wrong? When you first look at this on the surface, the law does provide a good sense of moral fiber and a barrier to keep the sell of violent video games to minors (but not out of their hands) but when you really look through the layers and think about it, selling anything to anyone is the choice of the buyer and seller. There is that choice of the buyer to make the decision to sell to a minor, and the minor's choice as well as the parents ever seeing eye to choose whether that a game full of prostitutes, shooting and maybe exotic sexual pleasures is worth their time, or the fact that they ... will understand what is in the game and what is real life.

There are a couple things that bothers me about the law that I'd like to bring up

1. Singling Out a Certain Industry ... The law is only focused on video games. Not banning minors from viewing Rated R or NC-17 movies or banning the sell of explicit CD/music to minors, but just banning video games. It seems that, even though it is self governed with its own rating system to help judge what is good for kids, teens or adults, like all the other media outlets that self-govern with rating systems (Movies, Music) it is being targeted. Why bring a law up when it already has a set of rules determining what is a 'Mature' or 'For Everyone' video game, not to forget that businesses are already fined for selling to minors. Maybe it is the fact that some people are offended by all the violence and sexual exposition that happens in a video games. When you look at it, singling out video games for violence seems hypocritical when you see violence in movies as well as hear explicit content in some songs without a law banning them from viewing or sales to minors/underage shoppers. Just a thought to remember, it is very prejudice law.

2. It Isn't the Government's Job to Parent Society ... No matter if it is moral or right, the government is the mom or dad of every child in America. Do you really need a law to provide a common sense fact of a parent to just say "No you can't play Grand Theft Auto." When it comes to the providing laws for parenting, we are just giving up the right to think at all. Maybe you should have never been a parent in the first place, since you aren't smart enough to judge what is right or wrong for your child.

So when it boils down to it, when you are brought to society's proven grounds, do you really need a law to parent your own child. Do you also need a law to single out one industry because of a misunderstanding or general prejudice. Maybe it is the world we live in, but everything boils down to the sense of a parent as well as the person involved, no matter what age. This is just one fact known to our social proven ground. No matter what you do, eat, listen to or play, can you have the sense to live morally right? I think so. Now I'm off to to play my Elf lore master and kill me a orc in LOTRO

Common Sense Thought of the Day

Just wanted to pass along just a quick thought of the day. Maybe it is just me, but then someone else might be thinking this.

If you drive a Mercedes-Benz, all decked out and you are shopping at Walmart, I need to ask why? Are you really that cheap or that broke that you have to shop for something that is not beneficial to you. Frankly, if you are trying to save money and live on a budget, you should have thought about it til you got that 500 plus dollar payment for 6 years for a car you can barely afford. Nothing wrong with a used Ford, might save you some money and it might be more reasonable, then maybe I'll think about not judging you for your lack of logical choice of budgeting for your 'family' or 'yourself'. Typical of the self-absorb society we live in now-a-days ... That is all for today folks

I Can't be Superman ... Really?

So here is the man, the mystery, an idol to the comic book world. Here is Superman; courageous, honorable, stout and very forth coming with helping others, no matter who they are. He has powers beyond the imagination and strikes fear in evil doers eyes, but for everything he is known for in the fantasy world, what most people know him as is a fake character with no representation of real life what-so-ever. The thing that comes across a stale confined mind is, you can't be him, its a drawing on paper. He just can't be your idol, he can't be your mentor, he is fucking fiction for gosh sakes!

That is the words you would probably here if you don't see with your eyes what realism could be within this object of an imagination. Maybe, of course there are certain aspects of this comic book hero that could probably and possibly be imaginary. Just to name a few:

Laser Eyes
Frost Breath
X-ray Vision
Super Speed
Flight
Super Strength

There are many other things he possess that could be, out of this world, one aspect that is beyond thought is that he is from another planet called Krypton (Which was exploded for some reason, but you can go get a comic book and read up on it), but for reality's sake, these powers all represents something that a human can value, gifts.

Yes gifts. Everyone has them dwelling inside of them, it is all just a matter of finding what you do well at and putting your heart and soul into that talent. Maybe its poetry or singing. Maybe its hiking or some kind of sporting activity like basketball or football, you could be starting quarterback in the NFL. Maybe you have a talent in predicting the future or designing lingerie. No one knows what you can do, but the fact is, you should go out and find out what gifts you have, it might bring joy to your life or some kind of monetary value, that's worth something sometimes.

Other then gifts that are presented by this fictional person, what other aspects could be reflected from Superman for a dreary world. Oh I have it, he presents a sense of optimism. He presents a sign of hope that, even for all the dangers in the world or for all the scars and pain that can be caused by anything like:

Storms
Death
Traffic
Wars
Terrorist

there is a sign of hope beyond this epic or trivial facts that, life can be better. Life can be greater. Life can be peaceful and beautiful. All you need to do is find a little hope in your life, some kind of optimistic value within you everyday meddling of nature's gift. Find that smiling child, that loving man or woman that enjoys your company, that greeting store clerk that brings joy when you by a 5 dollar meal. An optimistic outlook, even in the most subtle situation, could be brought upon your day, everyday.

Gifts and optimism, what else does this fake person possess that you say I can't be. There is one other thing this paper drawing possess that I can be, an inspiration to others. He inspires people to do great things. From all the perils that he faces, from the struggles to save Metropolis from destruction to fighting creatures like Brainiac and Doomsday, He inspires good in everyone when there is a devil of a presence. For all the depression that could happen to you, maybe this comic book hero could inspire you do something. Maybe you are inspired to brighten the day, to bring joy to your siblings, to get a gift for your mom or even continue forward and work for something better in life. For all the crooks, thieves and sometimes lying bastards within society, a little inspiration of good could do wonders.

So, you say I can't be Superman. I can't be a superhero. Maybe the aspect of being super strong and throwing a large object like a car through a building is impossible, but I can live my life the right way, open a door for a young lady, give some change to the homeless and strive to get my book published for all to see. So, to all that could be fiction about this character, he seems pretty real to me. I can be Superman

Stress of Less

So, you experienced hardship. You have experienced pain. The almighty hand of life has taken your body and gripped it hard enough you'll pop like a pimple. You are ready to burst, let loose and scream bloody murder as if all is lost and everything has fallen from your hands in one day. But you wake for another. Your eye, still pondering the hour of no hope, sees a sunshine. So you have stress. You have something pressuring you from the outside or the inside, poking and making you curl into the fetal position. The thing is, when you think about it and look forward with some insight, you realize that the person causing stress is you. You are putting the weight of the world on your shoulders when in all actuality, there is no point to think about it as much.

So, you don't know what to do? You do not know how to free yourself from the evils of stress. Well guess what? I have a few tips from the experiences around life and my thoughts that can help free you and everyone's mind and let you all experience something that was just ... a dream before.

1.) Do Poetry ... I say do poetry instead of write for a reason. Poetry is an expression of ones thought, placed into either vocal or literary form. Most the time, you notice there are poetry books, prose, motto's, essays and even short and sweet things called Haiku's. Other forms could be in the form of free-styling/rapping or spoken word. Whatever is the choice of travel, this is something that could pry you from the claws of stress. Place thoughts into words, write something down, show the world inside and express what is within, around and coming forward for you. You could read some poetry to clear your mind. I'd recommend any author since poetry is subjective. Not into writing or reading? You can experience free-styling, rapping. Try your luck at some simple rhymes. Try to make a beat and groove to the sideshow of the mental train. Go out and enjoy a spoken word night at a club, festival of even between a few friends. You can enjoy it at home. Putting things into poetry always gives a good feeling as you have expressed something. It can even bring a smile.

2.) Drive Alive ... Driving. Go and jump in the car/truck/SUV, whatever you ride and just go and leave the house, work or whatever it is that is bogging you down at the moment. Pop in some tunes into your radio. Get a mix-tape\CD or a mp3 player, and let the soothing sounds of heartfelt vocals breed within the vehicle. Put the window down and let the world pass by in a vision of magic. I don't expect you to go jump on the interstate to free stress. Go out driving in the countryside on back roads. Go to a small town and experience another scene that you don't see everyday. An awesome place for a drive (which I believe) is to go through the mountains. The scenery, plus some pleasant tunes will be a good combination for a stress free day. Plan this trip, it might do you some good.

3.) Explore Culture ... Explore the city around you, the town's history, the state or country's past moments in time. If you live in a decent size area, or even a small county, there are places to visit. I do have the luck of living in Virginia, where it is rich in history, dating all the way back to the first settlement in Jamestown, so I do experience a lot and explore plenty of places around my home. I say to you, go explore your area. Experience the sites of a colonial era style house or even take a walk through an aquatic hallway at an aquarium. Haven't been on tour of a zoo? Go check out the tigers from Siberia. Haven't seen any historical or famous paintings? go to the art museums and see some renaissance art that might be awe inspiring. A trip through culture events is another way to break the mind of self-inflicting signs. Experience it all, it might do you well.

5.) Watch Fantasy ... Escape from this world with a little bit of mystery, sci-fi or suspense in a film. There are plenty of films that explore new worlds and new ideas of fantasy and reality. You could check out Avatar and explore the world of the Navi Pandora. My personal favorite and recommendation would be to sit down and watch the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Hold a day event with friends, order some pizza and explore the vast lands Eriador, the plains of Rohan and even the creeping sulking area of Mordor. A world like Middle Earth is a world worth the experience. From Hobbits and Elves to the exploration of the deep caves of Moria and lush forest of the Golden Wood ... it is an breathtaking that a world like this could exist. It is an escape from your stressed related life. Take a dip into the fantasy pool, swim and enjoy.

6.) Escape the Mind/Imagine ... All the stress in the world, it all can be relieved by a little bit of imagination. Escape your mind, escape your sights. Leave all senses down to the ground, close your eyes and mediate. Leave this world and go to a peaceful place. Create an image of smiles and sunshine. Find a place to relax on the beach, or even take a hike through the woods. The only thing holding you back from your own dreamworld is the stress of the real world. It is your own creation of reality that plagues the mind to think otherwise, shake and fall away. Shadows are abound, but the mind is yours to release. I believe that mediation works wonders, and would work for you. In the park or at home, during a rain day or even when the sun is bleeding wonderful rays, take it all as one ... mediate to release it all.

So for all the stress in the world, it takes one second to change everything in the mind. With few handy tips above, you can experience a stress free life. I do realize challenges await everyone, include me, but to face them like a knife to the heart is not worth thinking about. Put your mind to other things, and maybe you will live again and breathe

Country Music Love

Just from the beginning. I am an artist and love and enjoy all types of music:

Alternative
Rap
Hip Hop
Indie Rock
Progressive
Emo/Screamo
Hard Rock/Heavy Metal

I listen and enjoy everything from Jay-Z to Foo Fighters; from Dave Matthews to Joss Stone. Even to put truth on the record, my favorite band of all time is Incubus (A post will come for that later). Just to present the thought of my reality, I do enjoy and embrace most if not all the music out there if it isn't stupid or dull, but for everything I listen to, there is just one brand of music that hits me stronger then most. That music is country. Country music is something that, if brought to a common thought, the tongue of cliches would abound plenty, with references to either a lover, a cowboy or an evening at a honky-tonk. The thing is, for all that could be true in the thought of any cliche of country music, the raw truth is it strikes me with a different passion then most, and for this, there are 5 things I shall present you the reader why country music strikes such a heavy chord in me, and should for you:

1.) The Relative Simplicity of the Lyrics ... There is something to be said about layering figurative and literal meanings into words to make a song or poem. I am a poet, so I do understand portrayal of any kind of thought, meaning or personal point. You have to have a great presentation, and with country music, there presentation is straight forward. In country music, they keep it simple. You would think that having simple words would bring nothing but a bland and boring truth, but with the music that is created in a simple form, it is effective. It soothes, it churns, it provides a sense of wonder as the words chime through and brings a smile or a tear. A good example of simplicity is George Strait's song Check yes or no. It is a song that provides a journey of love between a boy and a girl. The simplistic of the lyrics describing the boy and the girl brings the situation's truth closer to you, as quoting the first part:

It started way back in third grade
I used to sit beside Emmy-lou Hayes
A pink dress, a matching bow, in her pony tail.
She kissed me on the school bus, but told me not to tell.

The meaning is portrayed in very simple lyrically fashion, but it rings truth. It also brings in a strong vivid scene, which leads into my second point ...

2.) Imagery ... This is a very strong point in country music. As simple as the lyrics are, it portrays a very relative situation to said audience, even if it hasn't happen or won't happen to you or anyone around. Even if the situation is different then what you find on an everyday basis, you can see it. You can feel it. You can actually close your eyes and feel that:

Year fighting in the war
The passing of everyday life of the depression
The death of a husband
Or the picture of a new born child

It is as real as you and me getting a cup of coffee before heading to work in the morning. A good example of this is Kenny Chesney's song Old Blue Chair. With the lyrics, he provides you with a scene of laying on the beach, with nothing but you, the ocean and your blue rocking chair, as I quote the first verse:

There's a blue rockin' chair,
sittin' in the sand.
Weathered by the storms,
and well oiled hands.
It sways back and forth,
with the help of the winds.
Seems to always be there,
like an ol' trusted friend.

This provide a sense of awe, wonder and delight. As the lyrics are simple and provides the strong vivid imagery, it also provides a gentle mood, which leads to my third point ...

3.) Ranges of the Emotive Chord ... The range of emotions that come from any country song can withstand any ballad of a media constructed pop band. As much as their is truth in the simple lyrics, and the generated image, you can feel the laughter and joy in the voice of Keith Urban in his song Days go By, or feel the sadness and struggle for living in Carrie Underwood's voice in her song Just a Dream. What also adds to the fact of the raw emotions is the proof that their voice isn't tuned by a machine or adjusted, it is real in presentation. You will very the vibrant radiance of a high note. You will feel the subtly and caressing in a low note. What makes it even better is the fact these 3 points are a great combination for next point ...

4.) Crowds and Concerts ... I can truly say, my best outings or times in a concert have been at a country concert. Outside of Incubus's 3 concerts I've been to (being biased on them because they are my favorites) my other favorite concerts have been country concerts. As much as I enjoy grooving to soothing rock song or jumping and pounding for a heavy metal show, the good feel and interactions that happens between said country artist and the fans is something that you could be called a once in a lifetime moment. Nothing beats a feeling of being back home, out on the farm, hanging with the family and just smiling your way til the clock strikes midnight. Country concerts are truly special, and as everything has been stated before, there is one point that I've only felt/seen with a country music ...

5.) About heart ... If I could stress anything that I've experience with music or musicians, it should always be about heart. The one thing I have seen throughout everything at a show or on TV, or even experience listening to a CD or an mp3 player, you experience the heart of a country artist. You feel the warmth, the passion, the struggle and the tears that bleed into every song. There is nothing more important then a heartfelt connection a fan has with their favorite country artist, and their songs. They don't just do what's popular or do what's the company's motto ... they do what is right and what feels good in their hearts. This is true to any country artist out there, and could be personified in everyone who struggles to just be themselves.

For all that I've listen to throughout the years, I see that everything always comes full circle. From the beginning, country music might seem unpopular, not important, not good or even something unspectacular, but as I grow older, I can feel why and how I relate to anything that is sung by a country artist. As the day turns another page in your life, I hope these words boil something warm in your heart (from Alabama's Born Country)

I was born country and that's what I'll always be.
Like the rivers and the woodlands wild and free.
I got a hundred years of down home running through my blood.
I was born country and this country's what I love.

Traditional ... Stain

It is a tradition. Staying true to your roots and playing host to nothing but the same old games in society's pool. Stationary and reclusive, you try to smile for what you had and what you have to do. With all these guidelines for you to follow, why do you still have an eye pondering a forward thinking thought. From what is known, you can't think outside box? Couldn't this individual thought bring misery and pain if you were to step from the boundaries of a traditional standard. Hell, no one else can stand on their own two feet either. Progression is denied.

So what is it that keeps people in the same boat, the same lane, the same aisle looking at the same old box of cereal, keeping it plain and afraid to try that new brand with cinnamon flavor. That bland taste of wheat and a touch of honey makes that homemade cooking so much special. But you want a new flavor, maybe some pasta ... lasagna, or even a gyro.

For every so called traditional motto that could be used, there is the broad scale of what is stated, and how it has an affect of life. Ridicule is what comes from a traditional stain. Here are 4 major topics that get affected by all traditions.

1.) Art ... I bring art as the first topic. Art has it own definition apart from a book could explain. Art is something that comes to be different to many, and figurative to others. The art that someone explains as awesome might be bland to others, but it is still art. Acknowledgment of the fact that there is a creative swirl or motion of something spectacular even on the most minuet of scales still makes it creative, sensational and astonishing ... that is art. You want to badger someone's foray into another lane? You want to throw rocks and pillage the fact they believe this to be something special. I frankly consider your angst not worth a breath to mention, since it's probably a conjured fiction of a creative tale. Art comes in many forms:

Paintings
Sculptures
Poetry
Plays
Stories
Movies
Music
Theater

So no matter if its a Disney production of the Lion King on Broadway to a 5 star rated porno called Bikini Hoe Down ... art is of the eye of the creator. Don't like contemporary country, then dig a hole. Can't stand the fact that people express raw emotions in a freestyle rap or spoken word, then walk away. There is an audience for things other then secular thought of black and white.

2.) Innovation ... This is one that is plagued by the crowd, and bashed by the few. Innovation is what brings society closer to a functioning reality. The more that people innovate, the more they brings ease to things that are applicable to living an ideal lifestyle. We have innovation in many things like:

Transportation
Medicine
Communication

We only move forward when it comes to innovate they way we interact and react to things in our living/breathing society. Is there something wrong with going green, holding onto clean energy sectors that could provide safety and stability for an advanced society. Is it wrong to ask for updated ways of moving goods and services between rural parts of the country to cities, say a electrical or magnetic transportation grid between Montana and Chicago? What if I want to have a cure for my cancer using stem cell research or save a kids life from being paralyze for the rest of his life? Scared to the fact that cells are being tampered for the greater good? The ideal speaking of a common tongue cannot imagine the possibilities without opening a blind eye to a situation around. Well, hold onto your clogged arteries and smoke your life away. Theory is all left in the past when experiments and evidence prove the thought of living longer, staying healthy and breathing something other then the smog of an SUV is possible. Think before you equip your sights with a supposed enlighten provision.

3.) Acceptance ... There is one thing that bothers me more then not realizing the movement into a technological advanced society. You can have different taste in most things, but accepting another for standing opposed to what is 'divided' in the lines of society seems to be hard for most if not all people around. Lets slap someone for having a different kind of love. Lets badger someone who dresses that 'seems' to be consider a taboo. Can't stand the love among two men ... well tough, they probably live happier then you. Can't stand the girl in all black clothing, dying her hair 8 different colors and her boyfriend in fishnet stockings ... well who cares, they are probably less stressed at the situation then you. They aren't committing any murders or killing a baby. They are just living a lifestyle you find, unacceptable. You want to throw the book at them? Did you want your deity cure them of their sinful ways, I heard choking with water works ... not. The fact is, your pretentious thought is ignorant to the reality of, you are bothered by the idea of individuality. So before you go running wild fires because someone likes to be a DRAG queen, take a pill and go to sleep.

4.) Free Will ... Everything above and all that hasn't been mention trails to this center point. The idea, but more of the reality, is for people to have the freedom to do what works for them, the will to choose for themselves and not have the organized force push them away. The will to freely go about talking, laughing, playing and eating whatever you want is a decision that is expressed in a smile. Maybe things should be taken in moderation, maybe people should just not look in the direction of displeasure, but really, why does it matter to you? They aren't a bother, they aren't ripping your soul from dignity, they aren't asking you to take in the pleasure of eating a dead animal. A little far fetch, but people have the right to be free of thought and expression. Every tradition and social trend, that has grip the past, present and future tries to restrain this fact. Truth is, free will is the ultimate point of humanity. People think of the otherwise, and if you can just listen and be free with choice, maybe you'll smile without being told.

So you have a traditional standard, belief or common tongue. Don't be bothered by someone's lifestyle. To take pleasure in anger is to not be living at all. You will only find sadness in struggle, just learn to live outside the box. You will come to see that even for all that happens, beliefs are the same.

Where's the Love

A ponderous moment as the scale falls back in the mind. The heart beats, the day swells, the warm weather blows on by and you can only, grab a hold of someone's hand, look to the sky and wonder, if it finally true. Maybe this is it, maybe she/he is ... the one.

But for a second, lets take a step back and notice, this scene is nothing more then magical for only two people, two beings, Two homo-sapiens that are presented with a thought of forever.

But as much as it is lovely to think of what a dream is, it isn't always truth in reality. It isn't lovely for the others who plague on the thought when this picture arises, well into the night along the shores of a warm ocean, when you do hold that hand of someone special. What do you expect to find?

Happiness?
Joy?
The enlighten fact of the warmth that settles inside?

But when those eyes open, you find your bed and yourself. So where is the love? Well ... the love isn't there, yet. So when is it that love is there?

Five things to notice that love is in your sights.

1.) The heart has a feeling, that you've never felt before. That heart beats only, when the feeling for him or her occurs. The heart only continues to make a rhythm to a beautiful day when you notice it is wonderful when something like them crosses your mind of that great significance.

2.) So after the heart, their is that thought. That thought brings joy, passion, anxiety, confusion and also ease. How much irony could be in this thought that is so peaceful and plague you at the same time. It is when him or her walks through that door of opportunity for the first time.

3.) After the heart beats and that thought occurs, it comes to that moment. It could be at the mall, at the park, walking on the boardwalk or even ordering a dollar meal off the menu. That moment when eyes connect for the first time, you just ... feel it

4.) That heart, that thought, that moment ... It turns to a fact. It turns into truth. An unwinding of all things natural and wonderful blend to form a factual conclusion that, no matter what lies ahead ... for better or for worst, you know the truth is with this magical being of a person.

5.) That heart, that thought, that moment and that truth ... It all boils to one and final thing, that you know. No denial, no fluttering between a yes or no, no reason to walk away. You stumble to ask a question, to greet yourself. You stutter upon their arrival or their presences. You can only imagine what the future holds and forever stands still for you and them. You just ... Know.

So ... where is the love. Their is always a doubtful cloud, but once the spotlight shines, and you take that walk, on the boardwalk, staring up to the sky and holding hands ... the love is where it has always been, right in front of your eyes. I am one of the many that has yet to find it ... but I know once these 5 things conjure in my small stirring pot, I'll know where's the love.

Presentation of the Stick

I present you with a stick. Yes, a stick. You might ask, why a stick? Well, the interesting thing about this stick or any stick you find, it is something magically to some that has many uses if you put your mind to it. The possibilities are endless, but here are few things you could do this with this stick:

1. Guide ... You could guide anyone or anything with this stick as you point your way to a destination. The direction and the focus of one avenue helps with this tool. You could also use it as a guide in the dark as you use the hollow noise it gains by whacking the stick against another object, generating a point of interest for anyone looking for you or a particular place.

2. Time ... How the hell can a stick give you time? Well, easily, just think about it ... you thinking? well of course not. You can put the stick in the ground and watch as the sun and shadows create you a circle of a clock. WOW, amazing ... the shadows give me the time of day without any gizmo's or gadgets breaking or needing to replace. Just a little bit of sunlight and common sense and anyone can figure out its 3 PM.

3. Art ... Yes, this stick can provide you with art. The art of drawing, as you pierce the ground with dazzling designs or maybe, trim the stick down to conduct an orchestra. That soothing sound can draw an audience and provide entertainment for days. Or simple, its the object of a song, a poem, of a story that you could base it off of ... you have the mind to do anything with this stick.

4. Action ... Do you role play? Of course you do, so lets give you some kind of object to create your fantasy world with. You could turn this very stick into a weapon, from medieval times as you are the knight trying to save the damsel from the evil doers. You wield your weapon with all your heart and might as you charge to the cave of darkness. Maybe there is a dragon ... just sharpen the end and stab it in the heart ... albeit, still role playing here. Something to enjoy on your time off from work.

5. Helping others ... This stick, no matter what else you could do, could provide someone with support. Someone who is unable to walk could you this as a cane as they walk across the street. Maybe there is a clog pipe, just stuff this stick in the hole and release the pressure ... feels much better. Or maybe someone is out of reach trapped in the river, the stick just added a few more feet, and you saved a life.

6. Other uses ... With your mind and this stick, come up with your own stuff to do, make sure children aren't around if you end up being naughty.

So you can see, you can do many things with this stick. Save, entertain, and maybe even use it for your own pleasure. Other then the some situations I have posted, this stick could be used in the real world to build structures, mass produce for other objects of society or even provide travel in the ocean (sticks float). Hell, the only thing keeping you from this multi-tasking object is a bland thought and laziness to occupy free time. Can't afford to buy this stick, you could break off a branch from a tree, shave off the bark and conform it to what you need. Its free to use or have ...

Or you could always just waste your time and money on a proprietary device such as the IPAD ... its your choice. I think I'll just continue to be creative and support better things

Left-Click

It is a posturing moment. Tense, the scene is engrossing and the seconds tick away like there is no chance. You find that, part of this situation, you cannot think of what to do, there is this monster and you have energized your shield and you failed in your first attack ... but before you could think of the next strategy, you just choose to just left-click.

But, for anything that speaks volumes in the fantasy world, I might role play, but people role play with no conscious thought ever comes to cross the mingling of a commonality of a everyday situation. No reasoning comes to think of what might happen if you left-click the rest of the day.

For a minute, let me present you with this question. Will you think or just left-click.

For many, you left-click. Scenarios are presented on an everyday basis, but you always choose to left-click as this situation occurs:

The speaker is enlightening. The words or harnessed in some sort of glorious light that no matter what crosses everyone's mind or what lines are drawn between you and other socially accepted signs. Maybe, you out of all the groupies and party followers there is a sense of denying this posturing of the man at the podium. Maybe there is an intuitive thought creating a second line from the binds of society that maybe, if I take a look and listen, maybe even read the world around me ... it will all make sense from a fabricated story. But fuck it all, can't see a way around it, can't find a path away from it, the building speaks of holding sales or leads me to a promise that no one else could keep ... lets go ahead and left-click, lets download it into the brains and embed what feels so good and helps momentarily. That ad is so relishing, those words are so remarkable, that prologue to the coming days are so gripping that this story of the past might actually have an affect on my life, albeit I realize that person is smiling outside and nothing is wrong with them.

But taking a look at life's other scenarios of something fanatical, someone so daring of the liking beliefs ... you find a way to left-click out of that situation while braving the company's word, just continuing the spiral of an illustration that seems to fit a model of significance, I guess the bonus is to beat down the individual.

He holds your heart, he presents you with a almost to good to be true spiritual path, he speaks with passion that if you give some payment and little bit of ignorance, you'll join the club. Hey, good advertising does that to many people.

So lets all left-click ... those people seem to have great style, let me find a sale and fit in. That seems to be the popular thing, maybe I'll listen to some music to be with them, even though that would send crows to their death bed. Maybe I'll hold a book, and say I know the truth and bow my head and hope for a choir, but maybe Shakespeare had more insight of the real world, he has a big audience too.

History repeats. So does the cycling of social lines that impede progress. Think about it before you see a 50 percent off ad, or 'I'll show you the way, but I need your credit card'

But, for a retrospective for the unlabeled few, I say I'll show you the way, just look around with your own two eyes.

So, when that monster is about to attack. Take a second to gather your potions, figure out a defensive strategy and strike at the weak point ... Then you can break those lines.

5 Things for a Beautiful Day

Let me take a moment and present you with a delicate view of a beautiful day. Maybe there hasn't been many in the past, but with spring coming and the warm weather rising, it is time to unleash the inner child and embrace the magic of this beautiful thing.

For the day that spins gorgeous moments and unparalleled designs, here are 5 things that anyone should think about on this sunny day:

1. Take a walk at the park or beach ... Really people, you stay inside almost all day either at home or work. Maybe even when there is sun out for other days. So put on those walking shoes, grab a partner, and go take a walk. Watch the world turn around as you open to the warmth that has been given to you for today

2. Eat some ice cream ... It is a warm day. It presents you with a time to share in a sweet tooth. Nothing is better then a double scoop on top of a waffle cone. Sounds like fantasy? It is more then that ... it is truly amazing. Grab a a few bucks and get yourself some ice cream, maybe some for the kids as well. Don't worry about gaining weight, just enjoy the magic of that taste :)

3. Take a picture ... For a freelancing photographer as myself, the best time for capturing moments of life is on a warm day. People are out, activities are going on, kids are playing, adults are relaxing, life is blooming ... these are the moments worth capturing. So no matter if you are a novice or an expert, grab your camera and take a snapshot

4. Embrace your surrounding ... Maybe you've been stuck inside doing the same old boring online gaming and you forget, there are plenty of activities to do in your specific areas. Albeit ... it might just be going to the beach, but hell ... the beach is more then a postcard of some allegory that a sunshine might exist. There are parks, there are museums, there are historical sites and probably a festival going on you didn't know of. Take some time to scoop out the information in your town, city or county. You probably will not regret going out and sharing a burger with a friend at the boardwalk festival

5. Lay back and smile ... Last of all, no matter what you have planned today or what could be stressing that mind of yours, lay back in a lawn chair, on the beach, on a park-bench and smile. Nothing speaks wonders then that smile on a beautiful day. I live not for all that could be wrong, I live for that moment to smile. Maybe you should try sometime

So throw away that thought of days past. Today the sun is out. Take a deep breath, focus your mind, and take in the wonders ... of a beautiful day

FLOW

It is but a wish of a troubled mind to take in all and breathe slowly without having some doubt. For the doubt that comes around, there is a sense of calm that you can level with this conflicting thought, swirling inside.

I speak of this with a sense that, many things swirl, change, break and shatter within the tides of time that we spend watching this world spin. So

when you speak, they walk
when you listen, they turn
when you play, they run
when you think, they frown

Troubled, diffused and maybe a little angst towards shuffling feelings that could lead to sorrow when it seems to be that, no one cares to just accept the fact of what is and what you are. When you notice this, this is when FLOW should soothe, should crawl, should mingle in a heart and soul like yours.

For everyone, there are many standards, practices and religious beliefs you may hold to keep up a momentary thing, but FLOW is something that is a surrounding of the world around. So to take what is and make it reflect upon the mirror, here are steps to follow for FLOW.

1. Acknowledge ... There are facts that could break a slumber of a bear of winter. There are tides that could rip away at the beach of a beautiful day. Even for the most pleasant things, you have to notice the surroundings, the people, the objects, the sun and clouds above and around. Even for a breath or a gentle touch of the wind, it should be held at a fingers grasp.

2. Open ... Noticing the facts around, the birds flying, the leaves fluttering, the colors upon the surface and within the light, you will be able to open those eyes to more then just a common hold. Seeing is more then just two dots and 360 vision. Settle the moods, relax a bit, take it and sit to open the door to this moment.

3. Embrace ... As the world surrounds, and you open to the ideas of either side. The malice, the miscues, the irony, the plague, the words that flow through a crowd and the raindrops that fall to the world down, you embrace that moment of facts and know truth is of the hour. Nothing sounds frighten; nothing is horrible. You could pay for many things, but the embrace of this warmth you have settles whatever could have been imagine.

So ... Take a second out of the day, good or bad. Let the calm gentleness of the hour fall to your mind when doubt is upon the clouds. I don't speak of a biased intent to follow another path or divert, this is just a sense of a better place. Religious or not, there is a chance you can find FLOW

Temptation

You see it. You see that one momentary thing that reaches out. Good or bad, what does this thing do. I can tell you, it makes you feel something warm inside, a wanting in the grabbing sense of the moment.

Why are you so tempted by this so called, object. It gives a bright day, it gives a sense of recover, it gives some other sense than the anguish of being alive around the massing public you deem, unimportant. But, you are tempted by this object to do anything, to do something, to do good or bad by your own terms of right and wrong.

So ... how is this temptation any bother to the outside world? Do you know what it could do. Probably not. You probably don't even give a fuck what the consequences of this obsession of this object could do to the vast area that takes the repercussions of these action you have, been tempted to fulfill.

In you're head, this thought crosses your mind:

Frankly, I'm tempted to ask why? Why should I bother to take a look around when my faith has no reasons to save or to hurt, by terms i deem fit. Am I arrogant in that manner, that I want to wish for a place of peace and give my heart, body and soul for this object? Maybe someone would die, maybe a child would cry, maybe the rivers of blood would rush through me as quickly as a trail of tears or a party full of tea.

But as this thought crosses, its just a barrier from the truth, that this object is tempting you further to dilute into just another figure for the records of the public world. You'll bow on thy knees, hold hands to a prayer, reach out with a remote and decide to take a life for the gift of a peaceful slumber. Maybe in return I'll smoke a little and fall to the ground for my blissful reality.

So tempted, but the facts of the blind, someone is hurt by your faithful interpretation of a good thing. Think about having common sense, if you don't mind.
