So here is the man, the mystery, an idol to the comic book world. Here is Superman; courageous, honorable, stout and very forth coming with helping others, no matter who they are. He has powers beyond the imagination and strikes fear in evil doers eyes, but for everything he is known for in the fantasy world, what most people know him as is a fake character with no representation of real life what-so-ever. The thing that comes across a stale confined mind is, you can't be him, its a drawing on paper. He just can't be your idol, he can't be your mentor, he is fucking fiction for gosh sakes!
That is the words you would probably here if you don't see with your eyes what realism could be within this object of an imagination. Maybe, of course there are certain aspects of this comic book hero that could probably and possibly be imaginary. Just to name a few:
Laser Eyes
Frost Breath
X-ray Vision
Super Speed
Flight
Super Strength
There are many other things he possess that could be, out of this world, one aspect that is beyond thought is that he is from another planet called Krypton (Which was exploded for some reason, but you can go get a comic book and read up on it), but for reality's sake, these powers all represents something that a human can value, gifts.
Yes gifts. Everyone has them dwelling inside of them, it is all just a matter of finding what you do well at and putting your heart and soul into that talent. Maybe its poetry or singing. Maybe its hiking or some kind of sporting activity like basketball or football, you could be starting quarterback in the NFL. Maybe you have a talent in predicting the future or designing lingerie. No one knows what you can do, but the fact is, you should go out and find out what gifts you have, it might bring joy to your life or some kind of monetary value, that's worth something sometimes.
Other then gifts that are presented by this fictional person, what other aspects could be reflected from Superman for a dreary world. Oh I have it, he presents a sense of optimism. He presents a sign of hope that, even for all the dangers in the world or for all the scars and pain that can be caused by anything like:
Storms
Death
Traffic
Wars
Terrorist
there is a sign of hope beyond this epic or trivial facts that, life can be better. Life can be greater. Life can be peaceful and beautiful. All you need to do is find a little hope in your life, some kind of optimistic value within you everyday meddling of nature's gift. Find that smiling child, that loving man or woman that enjoys your company, that greeting store clerk that brings joy when you by a 5 dollar meal. An optimistic outlook, even in the most subtle situation, could be brought upon your day, everyday.
Gifts and optimism, what else does this fake person possess that you say I can't be. There is one other thing this paper drawing possess that I can be, an inspiration to others. He inspires people to do great things. From all the perils that he faces, from the struggles to save Metropolis from destruction to fighting creatures like Brainiac and Doomsday, He inspires good in everyone when there is a devil of a presence. For all the depression that could happen to you, maybe this comic book hero could inspire you do something. Maybe you are inspired to brighten the day, to bring joy to your siblings, to get a gift for your mom or even continue forward and work for something better in life. For all the crooks, thieves and sometimes lying bastards within society, a little inspiration of good could do wonders.
So, you say I can't be Superman. I can't be a superhero. Maybe the aspect of being super strong and throwing a large object like a car through a building is impossible, but I can live my life the right way, open a door for a young lady, give some change to the homeless and strive to get my book published for all to see. So, to all that could be fiction about this character, he seems pretty real to me. I can be Superman
